PROJECT 5
PERSONAL NARRATIVE
OBJECTIVES
1. Gotta be based in the real.
2. Include signifying details.
3. Non-transferable.
All of these elements allows your audience to empathize.
You'll be writing a 2-page story first, responding to:
"Whelp, that didn't go according to plan."
And then you can present your written piece, perform spoken word, record a video, create a photo series, or an art piece in your preferred medium. You're choice.
“Good writing isn’t necessarily truthful,
however it has to be honest.”
– Mr. Donoval

TO CLARIFY:
Does it have to be 'heavy'? No.
Does it have to be 'serious'? No.
I encourage you to use beauty and humor to bring us into your piece. As audience members, we tend to put our guard up when things start off deep or heavy. Levity is one of the best tools you can use to let us in.
